How do I update the pledge amount for one of my runners?

You can easily update the pledge amount that a runner has initially stated they would raise on the realbuzz Charity Console with the 'update pledge' feature.

When runners apply to be part of your team, they'll often state a pledge amount i.e. the amount they feel they can raise for you. In cases such as the Irish Life Dublin Marathon, where we have an integration with event's official fundraising platform, this amount pulls through automatically to the runner's page if and when they are Accepted. 

However, we know that often in reviewing and engaging with runners, you'll make an agreement for them to raise a set amount which may be different to their initial estimation and therefore you may need to update this pledge data. 

Here's how you do it:

• Go to the realbuzz Charity Console
• Click the three dots '...' next to the relevant runner record 
• Select 'Update Pledge' 
• You'll be asked to state the new pledge amount, add a reason for the change and accept the disclaimer which confirms you have the runner's consent to make the change
• Click ok and the change will automatically take effect

You can change pledges as needed but please ensure you have agreed this with the runner beforehand. There is a change log for pledges as standard so you can always check when and why a pledge amount was adjusted.
