How does auto-rejection work?
Auto-rejection means after 14 days applications that have not been actioned are automatically rejected to ensure runners are not left without information on whether they have a place or not.
When a runner applies to join your team, their application instantly becomes a 'Pending Application'. From there you have 14 days to review their application, including moving it to 'Reviewing' if you need more time. If you don't complete any action on the application within 14 days it is auto-rejected to allow the runner to continue looking for a charity place.
The actions you can take are:
- Accept the runner if you'd like them on your team - you will still need to formally give the place once codes are available for their event
- Reject the runner yourself if you don't believe they are right for your team
- Move the runner to Reviewing status to give yourself more time
Please note, applications uploaded by yourself automatically move to Reviewing status and therefore will not be auto-rejected.
You will see runners who are going to be auto-rejected as the Console will inform you you have 0 days left to review the runner - this counts down for Pending runners from the day their application lands. You will still need to Accept these runners though in due course in order to then allow registration which releases their entry code and instructions to register.
You can also Un-reject a runner if you have completed this action by mistake or change your mind.
