You will be notified when a runner selects your cause and their entry will be shown in your realbuzz Charity Dashboard. Here are some useful tips on what to check for.
When a runner selects your charity to support, at point of entry, you'll receive a notification from us and their information will appear on your dashboard.
We advise doing the following to mitigate some common runner mistakes:
- Log into your dashboard and check the runner's details on the Console, namely that they are present as expected.
- When they move to 'Fundraising Started' status and therefore have a fundraising page set up, double check this page is linked to the correct charity or is overt that the runner will be supporting your charity.
- Runners can accidentally link to a different charity for a variety of reasons but most commonly this is because your preferred fundraising platform may not be supported in their region and they may be nudged by the platform to select another charity. In this instance, we advise runners to contact our Runner Support Team as there will usually be a supported platform in their region. Equally, many charities have similar names so errors can occur this way too.
If the runner has opted to hear from you, you can reach out to thank them for their support but, as you know, the realbuzz Runner Support Team will manage their overall stewardship for fundraising and getting ready for race day.
