Why and how to add fundraising information to the realbuzz Charity Console?
Adding fundraising URLs for your Accepted runners means the fundraising impact for the event is automatically tracked and is a requirement before you allow registration. Here's how to do it.
Ahead of allowing an Accepted runner to finalise their registration ('Allow Registration' status) you will be required to update their fundraising information. You can do this via the '...' actions menu.
After selecting the 'Update fundraising information' you'll have the option to:
- Add a fundraising URL - for example GoFundMe, JustGiving etc.
- Add an amount fundraised - for example for those fundraising offline or donating privately
Adding a fundraising URL
Adding a fundraising amount
If a fundraising URL is logged, you will see a total amount raised for the runner as we have an 'auto-scraping' tool which looks at the fundraising page and logs the amount on a periodic basis.
It is a requirement before you can 'Allow registration' for a runner, which let's them claim their entry code and complete registration on the official event registration platform, that either an amount or a URL is logged. In the rare event that a runner using one of your places is not fundraising (for example a gifted entry) please enter '0' for the one-off amount.
All this means that the realbuzz Charity Console is even more of a one-stop shop to manage your runners and keep an eye on their fundraising progress. Likewise, the realbuzz team can easily report back to our event partners the impact of their charity programme which is vital to adding value long term for our partners.
Please note, that for domestic charities participating in the Irish Life Dublin Marathon, the fundraising URL is automatically generated and stored for runners supporting your charity so no action is required.
